Regenerating API key value

The Primary Admin roles can add or or modify or remove the API keys for all administrators.

To modify a API key:

  1. In the AMC, navigate to System Configuration > General Settings.

  2. On the General Settings page, in the Administrator accounts section, click Edit.

  3. Configure different type of Admin accounts like Super Admin or Security Admin or System Admin. See Defining Administrator Roles.

  4. Click on any of the Administrator.

  5. Under API Keys, select the API key you want to re-generate key value.

  6. In the Name field enter the API key name.

  7. In the Description field enter description of the API key.

  8. In the Key value field click the re-generate button to generate a new value for the selected API key.

  9. Enable the Enabled to enable the API key.

  10. Set the administrator Permissions.

    Re-enter the admin password before clicking on Save, if trying to add API key to the Primary Administrator account.

  11. Click Save.

    The API Key Values page is displayed.

  12. Copy and save this API Key value.

    Once this message is dismissed, the values cannot be recovered.

  13. Click OK.

    The API Key is now available for Management API Access.
