Managing the VMware View Clients

To enable Windows users to access VMware resources, you must configure the appliance with VMware View client.

To configure the appliance for each VMware View client, upload the agent file to the appliance. The SMA appliance provisions the VMware View agents to users the first time they access a VMware View resource from WorkPlace.

To install the VMware agents

  1. In the AMC, navigate to User Access > Agent Configuration.

  2. In the Other Agents section, click Configure next to Graphical terminal agents.

    The Graphical Terminal Agents page displays.

  3. To specify the agent for a Windows VMware View client, configure the Windows settings under VMWare View clients:

    1. In the Agent file field, type the path for the agent file, or click Browse to locate it.

    2. Click Save to transfer the file to the SMA appliance.

  4. To specify the agent for a macOS VMware View client, configure the Mac OS X area under VMWare View clients:

    1. In the Agent file field, type the path for the agent file, or click Browse to locate it.

    2. Click Save to transfer the file to the SMA appliance.
