Downloading the Secure Mobile Access Client Installation Packages

The Legacy Connect Tunnel and Connect Tunnel Service (CTS) are deprecated from 12.4.1 onwards

This section describes how to download the installation package for the Connect Tunnel client to your local workstation.

To download a client installation package

  1. In the AMC, navigate to User Access > Agent Configuration.

  2. In the Access Agents section, next to Client installation packages, click Download.

    The Client Installation Packages page displays.

  3. Download the client according to your Operating System:

    • Windows: In the Connect Tunnel Client group, click the drop-down next to Windows option and select the installation package based on your operating system. Connect Tunnel for Windows is supported on platforms such as x86, x64, and ARM processor.

    • The available options are:

    • x64 (.exe)
    • x64 (.msi)
    • x86 (.exe)
    • x86 (.msi)
    • ARM (.exe)
    • ARM (.msi)

      Connect Tunnel and WorkPlace automatically detects and reports processor architecture (x84, x64, and arm64) to the server. The server then tracks the architecture type in the user session state and installs or updates the platforms automatically.

    • Mac:In the Connect Tunnel Client group, click Download next to Mac option.

      Connect Tunnel client is built as universal application which can be run on both Intel and Apple Silicon Mac computers.

    • Linux : In the Connect Tunnel Client group, select the installation package based on your operating system from the drop-down menu next to Linux option.

      • The available options are:

      • x64
      • x86
      • ARM

  4. Click Download.

    The install package is downloaded to your machine.

  5. Open the downloaded file and click Agree to agree to the terms, then click Install.

To download a client installation package from SonicWall website

  1. Browse to https://www.sonicwall.com/products/remote-access/vpn-clients/.

  2. Select Connect Tunnel tab and download the desired version of Connect Tunnel client based on your operating system.
