Configuring Concurrent Sessions

The SMA100012.4.3 provides Concurrent Session settings for administrators to configure the concurrent session to limit the number of sessions and admins that can be logged in to AMC by either identity (for example, username) or role (for example, super admin).

Prerequisites:

  • SMA/CMS running 12.4.3 firmware version.

To configure concurrent session

  1. In AMC, navigate to System Configuration > General Settings.

  2. In the Administrators area, click Edit for the Administrator accounts.

  3. Click the Authentication tab.

  4. Go to Advanced > Concurrent Session section.

  5. Enter the following concurrent sessions to limit the sessions and admins.

    The limit values must be a number not less than 1 and not greater than 20.

    Option Description
    Limit total concurrent sessions for all administrators Limits the total number of admin sessions that can be logged in to AMC at the same time, regardless of which user is logged in.
    Limit concurrent sessions per administrator Limits the number of AMC sessions that one admin user can have at the same time. Does not limit the total number of admins or total number of sessions.
    Limit total concurrent unique administrators Limits the number of unique admin users that can be logged in to AMC at the same time. Does not limit the number of sessions that a single user can have at the same time.
    Limit total concurrent unique administrator roles Limits the number of unique admin roles that can be logged in to AMC at the same time. Does not limit the number of sessions per role.
  6. Click Save.
