Testing AD,LDAP,RADIUS and One Defender Authentication Configurations

To help you validate your authentication configuration settings, the AMC pages used to configure Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, and One Defender servers include a Test button. Clicking this button establishes a connection with your external user repository and provides status information.

If you have correctly configured the appliance, a message reading Valid connection! appears. If there is an error in the configuration settings, the message provides a description of the problem.

The test connection feature is intended only for testing whether the appliance can bind to an external directory. If you enter login credentials, the appliance will use them, but it will otherwise attempt to bind to the directory anonymously. Because it does not actually search the directory, testing a connection will not validate that your login credentials provide access to the configured domain.
