Adding SNMP Policies
To add an SNMP policy
- Navigate to Policies > SNMP Policies.
- Click the Add Policy icon (+) at the top left of the table. The Add New SNMP Policy dialog displays.
- In the General section:
- In the Name field, enter a name for the policy.
- In the Description field, enter a brief description for the policy. (This field is optional.)
- From the Version list, select the SNMP version to which the policy should apply.
Add Hosts by clicking + Add HOST.
- In the User section:
Click the Add User icon (+) at the top left of the table. The Add SNMP User dialog displays.
- In the Name field, enter the name for the user.
- From the Security Level list, list the security level you want applied to the user:
- None
- Authentication only
Authentication and Privacy
- If you selected the opion Authentication Only, from the Authentication Method list, select authentication method you want used. In the Authentication Key field, enter the authentication key.
- If you selected the opion Authentication and Privacy, from the Encryption Method list, select encryption method you want used. In the Encryption Key field, enter the encryption key. (Authentication and Privacy only)
- Click OK.
- Click OK to add policy.
