Connect Tunnel and Captive Portals
Connect Tunnel has the capability to detect a captive portal and, on authentication, Connect Tunnel automatically connects. Many network service providers use captive portals at airports, hotels, or other public places were the Internet services are either paid for, or free only for a limited period of time. Captive portals may require authentication, payment, or the acceptance of a EULA in order for a user to gain general Internet access.
Connect Tunnel looks for an HTTP 302 response status code in order to detect the presence of a captive portal and handle the redirection.
