Traceroute Command
Use the traceroute command to see the sequence of gateways through which an IP packet travels to reach its destination. This can help you find a network failure point.
To issue a traceroute
-
In the AMC, navigate to Monitoring > Troubleshooting.

Click the Ping tab.
-
In the Address field, type the IP address or host name of the machine against which you want to issue the
traceroutecommand. -
Select the Use traceroute checkbox.
-
Click Go. The Traceroute returns a list of hosts, starting with the first gateway and ending with the destination.
