Stand-Alone Client
Secure Mobile Access provides a stand-alone NetExtender application. NetExtender is a lightweight application that provides comprehensive remote access.
After the NetExtender stand-alone client installation, Windows users can launch NetExtender from their PC’s Start > Programs menu and configure NetExtender to launch when Windows boots.
NetExtender can establish a VPN session before users log into the Windows domain. On the Windows login screen, users can click Switch User, click the blue computer icon at the bottom right to view the connection list, and then select NetExtender to connect. On Linux systems, the installer creates a desktop shortcut in /usr/share/NetExtender
. In environments like Gnome and KDE, users can drag this shortcut to the shortcut bar.
NetExtender is officially supporting the following client platforms.
- Fedora core 30+ or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4+
- Ubuntu 18.04+
- Debian 10
- Linux Mint 18.3
- OpenSUSE 15.5+ or CentOS 8.0+
- ArchLinux 2021.01.01
- Windows 11/10
NetExtender might work correctly on other Linux distributions, but SonicWall does not officially support them.
