Configuring Settings

The Settings tab allows you to customize NetExtender's behavior.

To manage the settings option

  1. Navigate to More > Properties to view the Settings page.

  2. Enable the required settings under the When I Login to my computer group.

    Setting Description
    Connect automatically with the default connection

    NetExtender connects to a default connection profile when NetExtender launches, followed by when you log in to your computer device.

    This behavior change prevents the VPN from connecting before Windows Logon, which could lead to unauthorized network access, especially for shared desktop/laptop computers..

    Automatically start NetExtender NetExtender launches when you log in to your computer device.
    Display NetExtender UI Displays NetExtender login window.

  3. Enable the required settings under the When I am Using NetExtender UI group.

    Setting Description
    Minimize the tray icon when NetExtender window is closed

    Enable the NetExtender icon display in the system tray.

    You can only access the NetExtender UI through Windows’s program menu if this option is not selected.
    Minimize the tray icon when NetExtender connected When you are connected, the NetExtender icon displays in the system tray.
    Disable auto-upgrade when admin allowed To disable auto upgrades.
