Exporting Settings
The exported preferences file can be imported into the security appliance if it is necessary to reset the firmware.
To export configuration settings from the firewall
- Navigate to Device | Settings > Firmware and Settings.
-
Click Import/Export Configuration > Export Configuration.
-
In the window, click Export.
The current configuration of your SonicWall appliance is exported to a .exp file and is available in your local system. The file can be imported by the same SonicWall or used to clone a configuration across multiple SonicWall systems.
- Click Close.
