Exporting a Copy of Your Configuration Settings

Before beginning the update process, export a copy of your SMA 8200v-standalone or CMS for AWS configuration settings to your local machine. The Export Settings feature saves a copy of your current configuration settings on your appliance, protecting all your existing settings in the event that it becomes necessary to return a previous configuration state.

• In SMA 8200v-standalone to save a copy of your configuration settings and export them to a file on your local management station, navigate to AMC > Maintenance > Import/ Export and save the settings file to your local machine. The default settings file is saved as <SMAHostName>_12.4.3-<buildnumber>_<current date>-<current time>.aea.

• In CMS to save a copy of your configuration settings and export them to a file on your local management station, navigate to CMS > Management Server > Maintain > Import/Export and save the settings file to your local machine. The default settings file is saved as<SMACMSHostName>_12.4.3-<buildnumber>_<current date>-<current time>.aea.
