Resolution for SonicOS 7.X

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.

To fix this, you can create a specific NAT Policy for the PlayStation IP Address.

NOTE: You will need to assign a Static IP Address to the PlayStation using a Static DHCP Entry in Network | System | DHCP Server | DHCP Server Lease Scopes.

  1. Go to Policy | Rules and Policies | NAT Rules
  2. Create the following NAT Policy by clicking Add:
    Image
NOTE: Here we used X1 as outbound interface but you need to specify your default WAN Interface.
  3.   Go to the Advanced / Actions tab and uncheck "Source Port Remap"
    Image
CAUTION: Make sure this custom policy has higher priority than the default outbound NAT Policy.

SSL Control services should be turned off for this Custom zone i.e  PlayStation zone

  • Click Object in the top menu
  • Navigate to Match Objects | Zones | PlayStation Zone |Configure :
  •  Disable " Enable SSL Control "
     Image
NOTE: "Enabled SSL Control " will be disabled by default for all zones on the firewall
Now, the PlayStation will detect NATv2 and all the features will be available.
