Configuration on the interface regarding the user login:

  • If the request for the password change is done via HTTP, it will not be allowed and we will be presented with this error. We will need to redirect the traffic that comes from HTTP to HTTPS.
  • Please ensure that the configuration on the interface through which the firewall is accessed is set as follows:Image

Environment issues:

  • This issue can also be caused by the devices that are in between the SonicWall firewall and the PC from witch we make this request (ex: switches, access points)
  • In this instance, as a test, a bypass of all the devices is required and to connect the PC directly on the firewall interface.
