SSO test WMI test OR NetAPI test fails. User not listed as authenticated.

Description

Lookup of a user in the "Test" tab of the SSO configuration fails for either NetAPI or WMI.

Resolution

The user will not be listed if the WMI test fails unless NetAPI or DC security logs also are enabled and one of them succeeds.

  1. Ensure the IP being tested is not a network device without a user, such as a network printer. Make certain these are excluded under the enforcement tab of SSO.
  2. Check that file and printer sharing is enabled on the machine.
  3. Run the command netstat -a from the command prompt and check that the device is listening on ports 135, 139, and 445.
