Configuring a SonicWall GAV Exclusion List
Any IP addresses listed in the exclusion list bypass virus scanning on their traffic. The Gateway AV Exclusion List section provides the ability to either select an Address Object or define a range of IP addresses whose traffic will be excluded from SonicWall Gateway Anti-Virus scanning.
Use caution when specifying exclusions to SonicWall Gateway Anti-Virus protection.
To add an IP address range for exclusion
-
Under Policy, navigate to Security Services > Anti-Spyware.
-
Under Status/Settings page, enable the Enable Anti-Spyware toggle button.
- Select Accept.
-
Click on the Configure button.
- Under Gateway AV Exclusion List, select Enable Gateway AV Exclusion List in the Gateway AV Exclusion List section to enable the exclusion list.
- Select one of these:
- Use Address Object radio button
- Select an address object from the Use Address Object list.
- Click OK.
- Use Address Range radio button.
- Click the Add icon. The Add GAV Range Entry dialog displays.
