Creating a Virtual Switch

  1. Login to the Hyper-V system.

  2. Click on Virtual Switch Manager in the Actions panel to the right.

  3. Navigate to New virtual network switch.

  4. Select External, and click Create Virtual Switch.

  5. Enter Name of the switch. Select the Connection type. Click OK.

    This step may cause an adapter reset and network disconnection.
