How to block a website using CFS 4.0 CLI commands

Description

This article demonstrates the command line interface (CLI) commands to block HTTP website games.com using CFS 4.0.

Resolution

Procedure:

Step 1:

Log into SonicWall CLI using the administrator username/password. Once logged into CLI, navigate from "enable mode" to "configuration mode" in order to make the required changes, as shown in the screenshot below:

Step 2:

To block http://games.com, follow the steps below:

  • Enabling CFS Content Filter globally

To enable HTTPS Content Filtering

  • Creating URI List Object

Image

  • Creating CFS Profile Object

Image

  • Creating CFS Policy

Note: Be sure to issue the command "commit" to save the configuration.
