Accessing WNM managed Access Point from a local network

Description

In certain scenarios, the administrator needs to log in to a Wireless Network Manager(WNM) managed Access Point(AP) from the local network. Access to SonicWave from the local network may be needed to run specific diagnostic tests to check the gateway and Internet connectivities or to manage the SonicWave itself.

Resolution

  • SonicWave access from the local network is disabled by default. To enable SonicWave local access, log in to Wireless Network Manager(WNM) and navigate to Policies | AP Policies | Edit the AP Policy for which local access is needed.
