This article explains how to use Reverse Inheritance to move settings from a specific unit to the group level.
Resolution
Log into the application side of the GMS
Go to the Firewall Tab
Select the unit to copy the settings from
In the Center Pane, select the Policies tab then select System | Tools
Select the radial for Reverse Inheritance
Select the drop-down then select the filter to be used
Click on the Preview button Note: Make sure pop-up blocker is disabled, as the preview comes in a pop-up form
Select and de-select the items to be copied to the parent node
Choose either "Update only the target parent node" or "update the target parent node and all unit nodes under it"
Click the Next button, this next page will display all the changes with the required dependency objects Note: Some of these changes for instance, Address Objects will display zones associated with the objects, the GMS will not be creating these zones unless they don't exist. The GMS also, will not be modifying these pre-existing zones either, just verifying the existence.
Verify that all the items are there to be copied
Click the Update button (Pop-up window will appear for Task Execution)
