Alerts for WAN failures, Firewall Reboots or VPN status can be configured in NSM SaaS.
Note:
This feature applies to NSM Advanced License. It does not apply to NSM Essential License.
Steps to configure the alerts:
1. Login to NSM using https://cloud.sonicwall.com Go to to Firewalls-->Inventory-->Click on the firewall name to add alerts for, it will take us into Firewall View
Inside the Firewall VIew, Click on Monitor Tab--> Alerts & Notifications-->Add Rule: Choose Alert Type as System Events. We will see following Sub-Types under this category:
Site-To-Site VPN
Firewall Reboot
Wan Probe Failure
Cloud Secure Edge
Example of adding WAN Probe Failure Alerts is shown below:
1. Click on Add Rule and choose Alert Type as System Events and Sub-Tye as WAN Probe Failure and click Next:
2. Enable Alerts for this Notification to show up in NSM portal as well as for Emails and click Next:
Default number of days to store the History of Alerts is 10 Days.
3.Summary of alert configuration will be displayed last and click Save.
Now when there is a WAN Probe failure event on the firewall, NSM will notify via email alerts. Alert can also be viewed on NSM.

NOTE: These alerts are available only with NSM Version 2.5 for the firewalls running on SonicOS 7.1.2. After upgrading firewall firmware to 7.1.2, Reconfigure Reporting and Analytics need to be performed in NSM in order to enable these Alert Types.
