Description
Log Monitor shows the Error message below:
"SonicPoint unexpected reboot. Please check whether input power is adequate and Ethernet connection is secured. (ACe/ACi/N2/NDR requires 802.3at PoE+)"
Resolution
Based on the information from the logs, check if:
- The SonicPoint is in the correct zone. The Sonicpoints must be connected physically (directly or using a hub or switch) to a Wireless zone (WLAN zone) on the Sonicwall.
- The power cable and/or the AC adapter is not damaged. Try with different power sources (AC adapter*, Injectors, and/or PoE switch**).
- There's an intermediate device (hub, switch, etc.), between the SonicPoints and Sonicwall. Plug a Sonicpoint directly to the Sonicwall, to bypass any L2/L3 devices in between the device and the firewall.
* The SonicPoint ACE is the only device that can be powered directly through an AC adapter.
https://www.sonicwall.com/products/sonicpoint-ace/** Do not operate SonicPoints on non-compliant switches as SonicWall does not support them.
POE compliance(802.3af/802.3at) should be checked when powering up SonicPoint with POE switches *** Do not use any other console cable than the one shipped with the Sonicwall. In case that the customers do not have any available, they can build their own cable.
