To configure VPN Connection to firewall appliances (TZ, NSA, E-Class NSA) running SonicOS 5.8.1.0 or higher, please refer the following Advanced Settings options on Mobile connect Plugin. By Default the VPN Plugin is setup for HTTPS (443) port, hence we need to use these advanced PowerShell based configuration to create a Connection profile on custom SSLVPN Port setup on the firewall
Resolution
- Open Windows PowerShell
- Run the following commands (one line at a time) within the PowerShell Window
$xml = "<MobileConnect><Port>4433</Port></MobileConnect>"
$sourceXml=New-Object System.Xml.XmlDocument
$sourceXml.LoadXml($xml)
Add-VpnConnection -Name FWSSLVPN -ServerAddress 10.61.252.250 -SplitTunneling $True -PluginApplicationID SonicWall.MobileConnect_cw5n1h2txyewy -CustomConfiguration $sourceXml
- With the above commands, the connection profile is created using the following details:
Custom SSLVPN Port: 4433
Name of the Connection Profile: FWSSLVPN
