Enabling Intrusion Prevention Services
To enable Intrusion Prevention settings for one or more Objects per zone

Under Object, navigate to Match Object > Zones.

Select the Zone for which Intrusion Prevention IPS has to be enabled and click on edit button. Switch on the Enable IPS toggle button.

Click Save.
To enable Intrusion Prevention settings for one or more SonicWall network security appliance
-
Under Policy, navigate to Security Services > Intrusion Prevention.

Under Status/Settings page, enable the Enable IPS Gobal Settings toggle button.

Click Accept.

Enable/Disable PREVENT ALL and DETECT ALL button for the SIGNATURE GROUPS.

Click on the Configure button.

Enable the Enable IPS Exclusion List toggle button and select the from below options:

Select Use Address Object.
From the dropdown box select an existing object for Use Address Object or select Create new address object... from the dropdown.
Provide the details of the object and click Save.

Select Use Address Range and click on Add.
Provide the details and click OK.

On successful IPS configuration, click Accept.
To edit IPS Signatures

Under Policy, navigate to Security Services > Intrusion Prevention. Under Signature, hover on the signature that needs to be updated and click on the edit button.

Update the details and click OK.
