1.1. Wireless Controller: WiFi Cloud Manager (no SonicOS dependency) |
- Download and install SonicExpress mobile app
- Register SonicWave via SonicExpress app
TIP: How to quickly register a SonicWave Wireless Access Point with SonicExpress
- Power up the access point and connect it to the network where DHCP server is available
- Login to Capture Security Center (CSC) and click on Wireless tile
- Wait for a few minutes and confirm access point is online in wifi dashboard (status is green)
- Go to settings page and click on upgrade button
- Wait for a few minutes. Go to Network>Devices and make sure access point firmware is upgraded and matches the firmware version in settings page

1.2. Wireless Controller: Firewall (need SonicOS 6.5.4.3) |
- Upgrade firewall to SonicOS 6.5.4.3 firmware
- Power up the access point and connect it to the firewall that was upgraded to 6.5.4.3
- Wait for a few minutes. Access point will be automatically registered and provisioned
- From firewall GUI, go to access point tab and make sure the AP is online

- Export and save firewall configuration
- Upgrade firewall to SonicOS 6.5.3.3 firmware (MySonicWall)
- Power up the access point and connect it to the firewall that was upgraded to 6.5.3.3
- Wait for a few minutes. Access point will be automatically registered and provisioned
- From firewall GUI, go to access point tab and make sure the AP is online
- As an alternative you can chhose to upgrade to SonicOS 6.5.4.3

- Power up the access point and connect it to the firewall that was upgraded to 6.5.3.3
- Wait for a few minutes. Access point will be automatically registered and provisioned

- As an alternative you can chhose to upgrade to SonicOS 6.5.4.3
