Answer: SonicPoint/SonicWave difference between a Domestic (North America) and International.

SonicPoint/SonicWave Domestic (North America) is for US only
Country Code Options for SonicPoint/SonicWave Domestic (North America)

SonicPoint/SonicWave JP is for Japan only
SonicPoint/SonicWave International (INTL) is for all other countries

Country Code Option to select the country of use
Country Code Option determines WiFi regulatory settings allowed for the country selected

To find the Country Code setting on a SonicPoint/SonicWave, navigate to SonicPoint/SonicWaves and click the configuration button in SonicPoint/SonicWave area.
On a SonicPoint/SonicWave domestic (North America), there is only one option under Country Code: United States.

On a SonicPoint/SonicWave International, there are multiple options under Country Code.

Note: If your deployment is legacy SonicPoint only, you can choose to stay with your existing version of SonicOS. SonicPoint ACe/ACi/N2 and SonicWaves are not supported by Generation 4 and earlier SonicWall Appliances.

Answer: No. SonicPoint/SonicWave firmware is auto updated by the managing SonicWall from SonicWall Software Servers. There is no difference between the firmware used by SonicPoint/SonicWave Domestic and International. All SonicPoint/SonicWave models use the same firmware.

Question: I have a SonicPoint/SonicWave Domestic model but I need of a SonicPoint/SonicWave International and vice versa. Is there a way to change a SonicPoint/SonicWave Domestic into a SonicPoint/SonicWave International and vice versa?
Answer: No. A SonicPoint/SonicWave Domestic cannot be change into a SonicPoint/SonicWave International and vice versa. You must purchase the correct SonicPoint/SonicWave model for your location.
