Secure Connect Licensing will be the first from SonicWall that will include 24/7 support, stateful HA license, and Cloud management with 7 days of alerting from the firewall manager (NSM and SonicPlatform to follow) - APSS (Advanced Protection Service Suite): For connectivity and total security.
- APSS will include a similar set of services as the current firewalls, except 7 days of NSM essentials will be replaced by 7 days of SaaS Reporting and Analytics. So, customers will now have 7 days of Reporting and Analytics available as part of the APSS licensing model.
- Add-on Licenses:
- NSM SaaS Reporting and Analytics: Customers can purchase flex packages for 30, 90, or 365 days of this service.
- NSM SaaS Reporting and Analytics with Secure Connect Bundle: Customers with Secure Connect can also purchase these flex packages and 7 days of Reporting and Analytics.

Grace Period (Annual Licensing Only)
- Day of License Expiry:
- Security services and support services cease to function.
- A banner message will be displayed in NSM and on-box GUI that the license has expired and the device is in the first 30 days of the license expiry period.
- Post 30 Days:
- TZ80 enters non-config mode, limiting functionality.Firmware upgrades are disabled.
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics remain available.
- A banner message will be displayed in NSM and on-box GUI that the license has expired and the device is in the post 30 days of the license expiry period.
- After 90 Days:
- TZ80 remains in non-config mode.
- Data traffic is stopped.
- The device is deleted from NSM, along with reporting and analytics data.
- Web GUI management is still possible for license synchronization.
- A banner message will be displayed on the GUI that the license has expired, and the grace period has expired.
Renewal and Implications
- Renewal: Licenses can be renewed any time before the grace period expires to prevent device deletion from NSM.
- Monthly Licensing: No grace period; continuous renewal is required.
- Device managed via NSM: Follows the same 90-day grace period as the firewall. Failure to renew the license after 90 days will cause the device, Reporting, and Analytics data to be deleted from NSM. (Note: The reporting and analytics data cannot be retrieved once the device is deleted.)
