'Please Wait!' message when trying to upload firmware

Description
This article explains how to proceed when you are trying to upload a new firmware version and you are getting the following message: "Please wait!" for more than 5 minutes
Resolution
Resolution for SonicOS 7.X
This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.
NOTE: If you are experience this message while you are trying to upload a new firmware version just keep in mind that this message will be showed, but if it is taking more than 5 minutes fallow these steps:
Try to open the firewall from incognito mode
- Open a new browser page in incognito mode
- Login into your firewall and click Device in the top navigation menu. Navigate to Settings | Firmware and Settings
- Click Upload Firmware and navigate to where the Firmware file is stored on your local device. Click Upload.
Open another browser
- If you are using for example chrome as your main browser, please open another browser. If you don't have another browser.
- Login into your firewall and click Device in the top navigation menu. Navigate to Settings | Firmware and Settings
- Click Upload Firmware and navigate to where the Firmware file is stored on your local device. Click Upload
Upload the firmware from safe mode
- Put the SonicWall into safe mode. If you're unsure how to do this, reference How can I put the SonicWall into safe mode?
- After you are on safe mode you can try to upload the firmware and then boot with current configuration.

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.2 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 6.5 firmware.

- Click Upload Firmware and navigate to where the Firmware file is stored on your local device. Click Upload.
