MySonicWall Organization Account and Migration Steps

Description

Current/legacy behavior: The MySonicWall account structure is user based which means products are mapped to the employee who registered it in MySonicWall. This creates many downstream challenges forr organizations to manage their products such as inconsistent visibility and access.

Key new changes:

  • To overcome the current pain points, we have introduced a new Organization Account structure where instead of the user, the organization owns all the registered products and tenants, and created user groups.
  • We have also introduced a new role called Super Admin who will by default have full access to the product inventory at the organization level and can manage access for other employees.
  • A new ‘Affiliation’ workflow to share products with organizations outside of your organization.

For more details on the Organization Account, its benefits and updated workflows, please refer to the user guide here.
