How to use IP change utility in GMS 9.3

Description

In certain scenarios, the network admins may need to change the IP address of the GMS server.  The GMS server does not update the IP address automatically. If the IP address is not modified in the database, the data summarization will not work and we will not get the end report.  This article will help to update the IP address in the database.

Resolution

SonicWall GMS comes with an inbuilt tool to modify the IP address. . For example the initial IP address of the Server was 192.168.1.20 and we want to change it to 192.168.2.20. Following are the steps to change the IP address:

1. Log in to the GMS appliance interface: https://127.0.0.1/appliance/applianceMainPage

2. Modify the URL to: https://127.0.0.1/appliance/techSupport.html and hit enter, it will redirect you to the internal settings consent page which you can accept.

4. You can enter the old IP 192.168.1.20 and new IP 192.168.2.20, accept the changes and restart the GMS server.

NOTE: Do not make any other changes under the Internal settings page as it may impact the GMS functionality.
