EX SSL-VPN: Unable to import license file and shows an error message That system has been tampered with applying license would prevent the system.

Resolution

Question:

When customers try to import a license file after RMA license transfer from old to new it shows the following error message:

" The system has been tampered with applying license would prevent the running system"

You could see the following error message logs displayed on /var/log/aventail/managment.log

Resolution/Workaround:

  • SSH to appliance using serial console
  • Run a #config_reset on new device
  • Re-configure the appliance with basic settings like Network, password and DNS settings
  • Login to AMC console
  • Import the license file before import your configuration, it should work fine.
