Error processing request when downloading Cloud Backup settings from MySonicWall

Users attempting to download cloud backup settings from MySonicWall receive the following error message: Error occurred while processing your request, Please try again later

Cause

This issue occurs when the cloud backup comments on the firewall exceeds 200 characters. This issue is currently observed on MSW version 26.11.0 and is expected to be fixed in the next release of MSW.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, reduce the cloud backup comments to 200 characters or fewer by following these steps:

  • Navigate to Device | Settings | Firmware and Settings.
  • Select the Cloud Backup tab and edit the backup comments.Image
  • Ensure the description does not exceed 200 characters, then save the changes.

  • Attempt to download the backup file again from MySonicWall.com.
  • If the issue still persists, please reach out to Sonicwall Support.
