Converting Cloud App Security licenses from annual to monthly

Description

SonicWall partners that have been onboarded to the SonicWall Service Provider Program are eligible to provision products and manage licenses using the Monthly Billing feature in MySonicWall. This eliminate the need for pre-purchasing licenses and, instead, being billed every month for license usage. This feature is supported for multiple SonicWall products including the SonicWall Cloud App Security product. 

With this capability, products that are currently (or were previously) licensed using term licenses can be converted to monthly subscriptions within MySonicWall. In this article, we describe how this conversion is done for SonicWall Cloud App Security

Registration

  1. Navigate to My Workspace |Products and select the CAS Product that is currently (or was previously) licensed using a term license.
  2. Edit the product and navigate to Product Details tab

  3. Enable the switch labeled MSSP Monthly Managed. This will popup a form to confirm the details of the Monthly subscription

  4. Enter the details for the monthly subscription. Note the message next to the checkbox – by converting an Annual license to monthly, any remaining value of the license will be lost. Select the checkbox to Agree and click on Confirm

  5. Once the action is completed, the switch will now show enabled, indicating that it will be billed via the Monthly Billing feature.
