Configuring DPI-SSH

Description

This article guides you through the process of setting up and configuring DPI-SSH on the SonicWall appliance.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the SonicWall with your admin account.
  2. Navigate to the DPI-SSH | Configure page
  3. Click Activate your DPI-SSH License

    NOTE: In order to configure DPI-SSH you will need to activate the feature.  DPI-SSH is fully licensed by default, it just requires your action to activate it.

  4. Input your MySonicWall username/email and Password credentials and click Submit.

  5. Click Continue to activate the license.

  6. DPI-SSH can be enabled for a variety of signatures including Intrusion Prevention, Gateway Anti-Virus, Gateway Anti-Spyware and Application Firewall.  Once the wanted signatures are selected, click Accept to save the changes.
  7. By default DPI-SSH is enabled for all traffic passing through the firewall, if you wish to reduce this, it can be adjusted by including or excluding an Address Object/Group, a Service Object/Group, and/or a User Object/Group.  If any adjustments are made be sure to click accept to save changes.
