Steps on how to enable/configure the approval groups in NSM
Resolution
Create/add users into NSM:
Go to User Management>Users>click Add User
Refer to admin guidelines for setting up users
Enable the Approval Workflow setting:
Go to Config Management>Approval Groups
Click to enable Approval Workflow for tenant option
Select either Full (requires all approvers to approve commit prior to commit push) or Partial (requires only one approver to approve commit prior to commit push)
Enter number day/s for approval expiry (default 1)
Click Accept to save settings
Configuring the Approval Group/s:
Click on the Approval Groups tab
Click Add
Enter name of the Approval Group
Enter Description
Click Next
Select what user/s will be an Approver
Click the first directional option to move them to the group
Click Next
Select what user/s will be on Notification list
Click the first directional option to move them to the group
Enter any Adhoc email recipients to be on the notification list and click add
Click Done to complete the Approval Group
Commit and Deploy Approval Process:
Click on Commit & Deploy to view list of commits
Select the commit/s as needed
Click Next
Select the Approval Group to be used for the commit/s selected
Click Next
Select either deploy immediately or set schedule
Click Next
Review Pending Changes and click Commit
Click Redirect to All Commits
Each Approver will need to login to NSM to either Approve or Reject (does not apply if using Partial Approval)
Select Action and click either Approve or Reject
Approver to enter Comment
Click Approve
Once all approvers have finished, the commit is scheduled and pushed or is rejected
