How can I configure the No-IP dynamic DNS profile?

Description

If you have a Dynamic WAN IP Address and you would like to point it to a static hostname for easy remote access you will have to create DDNS profile on the SonicWall.

  1. No-IP.com
  2. DynDNS.org
  3. Changeip.com
  4. Yi.org

NOTE: Not all services and features from all providers are supported, and the list of supported providers is subject to change.

Resolution for SonicOS 7.X

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.

  • Configuring the host entry in the No-IP.com
  1. Create a No-IP account and login to it.
  2. Add a host in the No-IP.com account.

  3. After adding you will find the host entry in the manage host section of the No-IP.com account.
  4. Login to SonicWall and navigate N etwork | DNS | Dynamic DNS .Click Add button.                                           Image

  1. Login to SonicWall and navigate to Manage | Network | Dynamic DNS .Click Add button.

Resolution for SonicOS 6.2 and Below

The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 6.2 and earlier firmware. For firewalls that are generation 6 and newer we suggest to upgrade to the latest general release of SonicOS 6.5 firmware.

  1. Create a No-IP account and login to it.
  2. Add a host in the No-IP.com account.

  2. Click Add button.
