Santa Clara, Calif. – SonicWall, the trusted security partner protecting more than one million networks worldwide, announced today that Ravi Chopra has joined the company as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As the latest addition to the company’s leadership team, Chopra will be instrumental in leading the company’s finance operations and meeting its financial objectives. The role of CFO is being created as a result of SonicWall’s spinoff into an independent company, and Chopra will report directly to President and CEO, Bill Conner.
“Ravi brings unmatched experience in managing financial operations and helping lead companies in the security and networking industries, and will be a strategic partner for both me and our operational teams,” said CEO Bill Conner. “SonicWall has achieved incredible momentum since spinning off as an independent cybersecurity company five months ago, and Ravi will be an invaluable part of our senior leadership team by helping us set the course for our future.”
Chopra joins the SonicWall team after 13 years at Juniper Networks where he held a number of financial leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Corporate Vice President of Business Finance, after other leadership roles in treasury, corporate development, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Prior to his time at Juniper Networks, Chopra spent four years driving key finance initiatives at Cisco Systems, which he joined after moving from the investment banking and consulting world.
“From my 17 years of experience in the networking industry, I’ve become very familiar with SonicWall’s business and solutions and have been consistently impressed,” said Chopra. “I’m thrilled to join the senior leadership team to grow the company and better serve our loyal customers and partners.”
Chopra will be based in SonicWall’s headquarters in Santa Clara. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Delhi University and an MBA from Indiana University.
