How to download WXA 5000 OVA file for your Virtual Appliance from mysonicwall account

Procedure:

To obtain a WXA 5000 OVA file for your Virtual Appliance: 

1. Connect to your mysonicwall.com account at http://www.mysonicwall.com.

2. Click on Download on the left pane, select the Free Downloads 

3. Select the WXA 5000 Virtual Appliance on Software Type Drop down

      

4. Click on the WXA 5000 Virtual Appliance file Software link to download the latest version (Choose the General Release or Early Release)

General Release:

General Release firmware is a mature, widely deployed and proven release, suitable for typical use cases and is the firmware of choice for environments that are willing to trade off new features for code maturity. General Releases are used for production environments. 

Early (or Preview) Release:

Early (or Preview) Release firmware includes new features or incremental changes to a previous release. It has not yet reached a level of maturity required for a General Release through criteria such as length of time in the field and a large install base. Early Releases are fully supported and have gone through full QA and Beta cycles. Please refer to release notes for full details on new features or changes.

5. Save the new Software file to a directory on your management computer.
