Resolution
To reinstall the SonicWall Junk Email Store:
Step 1. Reset Internet Explorer to Factory Default.
From the machine that you want to re-install the Junk Mail Store on, open Internet Options from Control Panel.
Then go to Advanced and click on the reset button at the bottom of the tab.
Click OK and close Internet Explorer if it is open.
Step 2. Allow Administrators (or users if necessary) to run Internet Explorer without the Enhanced Security.
Open Server Manager and make sure that you select Server Manager on the top left of the console.
On the right hand side of the console you should see a link to "Configure IE ESC".
Click this and set the permissions as required
Step 3. Clean up previous installation of the Junk Mail Store.
Open Programs and Features in Control Panel and uninstall the SonicWall if it is listed. Either way, proceed to the next step.
Open Windows Explorer and browse to where the Junk Mail Store was installed to. By default this location is "C:Program Files (x86)SonicWallES" but you have the option to change this location during the installation.
Rename the SonicWallES folder to something like SonicWallES.OLD
Step 4. Install the Junk Email Store.
You should now be able to re-install the Junk Email Store from the SonicWall console page.
To start the process, log on to the SonicWall with Internet Explorer, accepting any certificate errors and install any SonicWall ActiveX plugins that you are prompted to.
Then browse to AntiSpam and then to settings and you should be able to enable and install the Junk Mail Store from there.
There is a full list of instructions available in this .
TIP: If you want or need to remove the SonicWall ActiveX plugin from Internet Explorer before you start, you can browse to Internet Options in Control Panel and then under General -> Browsing History -> View Objects which will open the folder where the plugins are installed. You can then rename the SonicWall ActiveX dll file and then reset Internet Explorer as per Step 1.
