Secure VoIP
VoIP, because it uses the Internet as its conduit, is subject to the same sorts of attacks as any other Internet traffic. Your VoIP network can suffer from viruses, Trojans, denial-of-service attacks and other sorts of dangers such as a SYN flood or Ping of Death. It's also possible for an attacker with publicly available hacking tools to intercept VoIP packets and eavesdrop on your conversations. Implementing VoIP with a strong security platform will prevent these attacks. SonicWALL's own VoIP solution allows you to deploy any combination of VoIP devices anywhere in the network; and it also supports both wired and wireless VoIP. Both the SonicWALL TZ 170 and the PRO Series provide VoIP capabilities already integrated into the SonicOS firmware. And because it is integrated with SonicWALL's own Unified Threat Management (UTM) security platform, your VoIP is protected against common threats that target VoIP protocols.

In addition to rigorous protection, SonicWALL also ensures that your VoIP call quality is excellent. SonicWALL's bandwidth management tools make sure that time-sensitive VoIP traffic can be accommodated, and that all connected VoIP devices have adequate bandwidth available at all times. SonicWALL's VoIP solution is interoperable with all leading VoIP vendors, and plug-and-protect support will automatically accommodate any VoIP device that is added or removed.
Additional Security
For additional security, you may choose to implement a "closed" VoIP network, to prevent the occurrence of any unauthorized calls. And of course, since your VoIP is a part of your ordinary SonicWALL gateway appliance, you will automatically have VoIP intrusion prevention, anti-virus and content filtering applied to your VoIP environment.
Reporting and tracking
Just like the rest of your network, you need reporting and tracking, and SonicWALL's VoIP solution provides for extensive reporting, and the ability to track each VoIP call from the first packet to the last. Monitoring and troubleshooting features, including dynamic live reporting of all active VoIP calls, is available through the SonicOS Enhanced firmware; additionally, audit logs of all VoIP calls can be easily generated. For further reporting and compliance needs, you an also create custom reports for all VoIP signals and media streams.
No additional equipment
