SonicWALL Moves Top-Notch Channel Training Program Online

The new certification program will allow partners to access comprehensive and flexible training on SonicWALL solutions through the PartnerLink web portal. The Certified SonicWALL Sales Representative (CSSR) program includes modules for Securing Networks with SonicOS, Virtual Private Networking with SonicWALL, and Securing SonicWALL Wireless Networks.

Dean Redman, SonicWALL's Country Manager in Australia and New Zealand, said the certification program offers channel partners the opportunity to further their knowledge and understanding of the SonicWALL solutions at a time and pace which is convenient for them.

"We're launching the online channel training program to enable our channel partners to receive an ongoing education about our solutions in a time-frame that suits them. We respect their time pressures and believe the online program will assist them to always be educated about SonicWALL's latest products and services," Redman said.

The SonicWALL certification program comes as more organisations are seeking SonicWALL wireless and VPN solutions. According to Frost and Sullivan*, SonicWALL became the second largest supplier of SSL VPN solutions with 17.4 % market share in 2008 to capturing 25.3% market share in Q1 2009. This means that 1 in 4 firewall solutions sold within Australia is a SonicWALL solution. The report said SonicWALL was able to penetrate the enterprise segment by leveraging the brand name in Australia.
