Threats to today’s enterprise networks traverse both network and application layers, and can originate internally as well as externally. Enterprise administrators require a unified solution that achieves robust security, reliability and efficiency. The SonicWALL® E-Class Network Security Appliance (NSA) Series integrates multiple security technologies into a single platform, with enterprise-class features that deliver comprehensive high-speed threat protection, reliable communications, flexible connectivity options, high availability, centralised policy management, in-depth compliance reporting and low total cost of ownership.

Deep Packet Inspection Firewall.

Going far beyond simple stateful inspection, SonicWALL’s E-Class Network Security Appliance (NSA) deep packet inspection engine (DPI) scans against multiple application types and protocols, ensuring your enterprise-class network is protected from both internal and external attacks as well as application vulnerabilities. The NSA Series combines enterprise-level threat protection and scalability with an ultra-high-speed parallel performance architecture that employs up to 16 processor cores. Unlike other scanning engines, SonicWALL’s DPI engine is not limited by file size or the amount of concurrent traffic it can scan, making these solutions second to none.  By working at the application layer, DPI also protects against hidden application vulnerabilities that may be inadvertently letting attackers in through an unknown back door.

SonicWALL Virtual Private Networking.

SonicWALL's virtual private networking (VPN) technology lets you establish a secure and extensive VPN that is easy to manage and administer. For secure site-to-site communication, SonicWALL’s network security appliances feature high-speed IPSec VPN capabilities.  For remote client-to-host secure access, SonicWALL offers both SSL VPN and IPSec VPN connectivity options.  For SSL VPN, SonicWALL NetExtender allows for clientless remote access for Windows, Mac and Linux-based systems utilizing a web-portal to provide connectivity and access.  For IPSec VPN, SonicWALL Global VPN Client enables the client system to download the VPN client for a more traditional client-based VPN experience.

SonicWALL also makes a complete line of SSL VPN appliances which offer remote access and management capabilities which organizations may need depending on their size, network complexity or overall security needs.

Routing, Bandwidth Management & VLANs

The SonicWALL® E-Class NSA Series appliances provide the control, flexibility, management and scalable features to fit many different enterprise deployment requirements. With support for advanced routing features, configurable VLAN interfaces and bandwidth management controls for the most sensitive applications, NSAs provide granular control to meet the complex network deployment requirements of enterprise organisations.

Clean Wireless.

SonicWALL's Clean Wireless Solution integrates 801.11n and 802.11a/b/g wireless with the E-Class NSA Series appliances to provide an enterprise-class wireless management platform with wireless security and encryption. The solution consists of an E-Class NSA Series appliance managing distributed SonicPoint-N™ and SonicPoint™ wireless access points. Businesses can deploy these access points throughout the network to establish trusted wireless security across the enterprise.

High Availability.

The SonicWALL® E-Class NSA Series is engineered to meet the stringent uptime demands of the enterprise. NSAs offer hardware redundancy capabilities like hot swappable power supplies and fans, stateful high availability using a dedicated interface, software configurable load balancing and VPN failover for disaster recovery of mission-critical data communications.

Centralised Policy Management.

The SonicWALL® Global Management System (GMS) gives enterprise network administrators and solutions providers the control to monitor, configure and report on hundreds or thousands of SonicWALL appliances from a single intuitive interface. Real-time GMS monitoring features send alerts as soon as an issue is detected. With GMS, administrators can easily view, group, and manage the policies and configurations of SonicWALL appliances on local or distributed networks. Custom GMS reports and policies can help you streamline internal or regulatory compliance initiatives.

Reporting.

Enterprise administrators require deep intelligence about network utilisation and user activity, without having to sift through large amounts of data. SonicWALL® ViewPoint™ software graphically illustrates network activity, including bandwidth utilisation, VPN reporting, observed threats, and Web site usage. ViewPoint’s customised reporting features make it easier to comply with regulatory mandates such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA. ViewPoint reports are and easy to read and distribute, disseminating comprehensive insight into enterprise network usage trends and security events.

Lower Total Cost Of Ownership.

Threats to enterprise network resources are becoming more sophisticated and more persistent than ever before. Yet no enterprise has an unlimited security budget. As a relentless innovator in the secure infrastructure market, SonicWALL is committed to improving the performance and productivity of businesses by engineering the cost out of building and running secure networks. This commitment is evident in the low cost of ownership found in the SonicWALL® E-Class NSA Series.
